I have been practicing psychotherapy and psychoanalysis for the past 25 years. I work in both French and English. After receiving my Masters in Social Work from Catholic University I trained for eight years in psychotherapy and in psychoanalysis at the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis (WBCP). I am an active member of the WBCP and serve on the Faculty of its programs in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. I also supervise the GWU psychiatry residents in their work as therapists.
Additionally, I am a Certified Poetry Therapist and have served for many years as Co-Chair of the New Directions program, an international program devoted to psychoanalytic thinking and its intersection with writing. I hold a Ph.D. in French Literature and spent many years working as a college French teacher and in the international publishing field.
